On Tuesday night with superb conditions, Moses completed his advanced open water course with a night dive.
The dives he chose for his advanced were more interesting than usual. After the obligatory deep (at the Anchors) and navigation (at the Lidador) he went on and completed the following adventure dives : wreck, search and recovery and night.
The search and recovery dive was easily the most challenging as we got fed up waiting for the southerly winds to subside and went in with plenty of surge and rather reduced visibility. However, as ever, Moses was up for whatever we or the sea could throw at him and found and recovered the “missing items”. He did describe it as “quite a workout”. If you take a look at his picture, you can see that Moses is no stranger to workouts.
Moses has already put his name down for our next rescue course which we will be running in January. If any of the guys on base are already advanced open water, why not join him? Rescue diver is one of the most fun and challenging courses you will ever do. If any visitors are planning a trip to Terceira in January and fancy joining, just get in touch!
Well done Moses – looking forward to diving with you again soon.
